Detailed Description

This Yamaha C3 Grand was built in around 1980 during Yamaha’s Golden Age of piano building, when all of the manufacturing took place in Japan, and by the very best craftsmen. The materials used were of the highest quality, and so the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades.

The Yamaha C3 is one of the most popular grand pianos available, since it is compact enough for many domestic settings, and yet offers many advantages as a medium-sized instrument when compared to baby grands. In addition to its longer strings and larger soundboard giving a richer sound, the keysticks of the action are also longer, meaning that the keyboard has a greater level of control. This example has a lot of depth and body in the bass, a warm and resonant singing sound in the middle section, and a pearly clarity in the treble area.

This Yamaha C3 has been fitted with the adsilent system, which allows you to practice through headphones whilst retaining the natural hammer action. Other features include a recording function, and tone control, reverb, effect and transpose. It can also be controlled via a smartphone app. The piano has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in overall excellent condition.
