I promised myself a piano on completion of the renovation and I recently bought a reconditioned Yamaha U3 from Richard Lawson. Having scoured the internet for a suitable piano outlet I came across Richard Lawson which had a brilliant selection of new and used pianos. I visited the showroom with the intention of buying a new one but was amazed at the quality of the many reconditioned pianos. I came away with a reconditioned piano at a fraction of the price I was prepared to pay for a new piano and I am absolutely delighted with it. It looks immaculate, as new, has a beautiful tone and certainly suitable for my requirement.Colin who dealt with me was marvellous, not at all pushy and extremely helpful.I have to mention the delivery team too who did a wonderful job. They took great care of the piano during the delivery process and placed it exactly where I asked them to.I am one very satisfied customer absolutely delighted with my piano and really enjoying learning to play it. Watch out for my debut at the Royal Albert Hall. I wish.

I quickly realised that it is very different and can be quite confusing, especially without any knowledge or experience.Before finding Richard Lawson, I had some disappointing experiences with other shops. Some merchants were not very professional or transparent. One told me the piano I wanted was discontinued and tried to push me towards a more expensive model they had in stock. Another said they had the piano available but delivery to my address would take 10 to 12 days, which did not seem right.In contrast, my experience with Richard Lawson Pianos was excellent. From the beginning, they were honest, transparent, and very helpful. The customer service was fantastic, and the delivery was fast and smooth.The showroom is also impressive. You can take your time, explore different instruments, and receive proper advice without any pressure. The staff are knowledgeable and patient, which made a big difference for me as a beginner. They also offer help with finance options, which is very useful.If you are thinking about starting your piano journey and are unsure where to buy from, I would definitely recommend Richard Lawson Pianos. I didn't even need to visit the showroom, as he promptly answered all my questions and matched the best price. He was also happy to hold the piano for over a month while I arranged the move of my previous piano.The delivery was almost impossible due to the access, but Colin organised everything smoothly. The delivery team worked incredibly hard and managed what seemed impossible. To make things even better, the piano technician contacted me just two days after delivery without me having to chase anyone.
