Yamaha Disklavier Pianos for everyone.

Yamaha Disklavier Pianos

What does a Disklavier piano do?

Essentially a Disklavier piano has the capability to record and play back performances.

Thanks to special sensors and superior recording features, the Disklavier effortlessly captures playing allowing it to be played back whilst perfectly mimicking the movement of both keys and hammers.

Not only does this allow you to step back and fully observe the nuances of your performance, but it can also be used to create a captivating ‘ghost player’ effect, whereby the piano seemingly plays itself.

Easily controlled from mobile devices, Disklavier technology promotes maximum functionality with minimum fuss for a fully optimised performance.

Can the Disklavier unit be fitted retrospectively?

These days, most Yamaha pianos are manufactured with Disklavier technology, but if you have an older model, all is not lost. Many Yamaha models can be retrospectively fitted with the Disklavier system.

What’s more, here at Richard Lawson Pianos, we have the expertise in-house to install the system for you.
