Detailed Description

This Yamaha U3 U30BL was built in the late 1980’s during Yamaha’s Golden Age of piano building, when all of the manufacturing took place in Japan, and by the very best craftsmen. The materials used were of the highest quality, and so the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades.

This piano has been fully refurbished by Yamaha in Japan (the Yamaha Piano Service Corporation), and comes with a Yamaha Certificate of Authenticity.

Being their tallest model, it has a rich and warm sound in the bass and middle sections, and a sweet and clear treble register. The sound overall is strong without being overpowering, and well-balanced across the range of the instrument. The action is medium-heavy, and so offers a lot of control for all playing types.

Overall, it is a highly versatile instrument suitable for students and professionals. It has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet has been fully repolished by Yamaha.
