A piano is a big instrument – and also a sizable investment. Which is why you need to be sure you’re spending wisely.
If money is tight, or you’re just not feeling confident about committing outright, why put yourself under pressure to buy – especially when you could rent instead?
Not considered piano rental before? Then keep reading to discover why it could offer the perfect solution, or talk in more detail with a member of the team.
Benefits of piano hire
· It’s more affordable
Pianos come with a huge variety of price tags. But whether you’re talking £5k or £50k, it’s still a sizable investment and a considerable sum to pay upfront.
Renting can make life easier. With more manageable monthly costs, you’ll have better control of your finances, and the possibility of having a piano at home can be much more achievable.
And if you’re worried about renting being ‘dead money’, don’t be. Rent from us and if you decide to buy, we’ll deduct any rental payments from the cost.
· It offers flexibility
Not a fan of being pinned down? Wary of long-term commitment? Or just like a bit of variety? Renting gives you complete freedom.
Not only can you change your mind about the type of piano you play, but you can also dip in and out of playing altogether.
Perhaps you travel frequently and spend large amounts of time out of the country? Renting allows you the flexibility to stop, start and change your mind as often as you like.
Renting is also a great way to keep pace with trends, allowing you to stay up-to-date and test out the latest technology and innovations.
· You can try before you buy
The real beauty of renting is that you have the freedom to try out different makes and models to find the right fit for you.
Only got room for a compact upright? Try it at home and see how it fits into your space and lifestyle.
Or maybe you’re a budding composer keen to experiment with a digital piano? By renting, you get to try them all out.
When you find the perfect fit, if the time feels right to buy, you can do so safe in the knowledge you won’t regret your decision.
· Improve your performance
Approaching an exam? We’re trusted suppliers of instruments to ABRSM for exams, so if you want to minimise pre-exam nerves, how about hiring a piano for a short period before your exam so you can practice on a good-quality instrument?
Maybe you have a big performance coming up? If you’re a professional looking for a showstopping instrument, you might be pleased to learn we also hire out instruments for use during shows and performances.
· There’s no long-term commitment
Worried the kids won’t take to it? Planning a house move soon? Or generally just not sure about what the future holds and how a piano might fit into it? Don’t stress yourself out – just rent instead.
Renting is particularly useful for beginners – those starting out on their piano playing journey who aren’t yet sure where it will take them.
Holding back from fully committing to buying a piano can take the pressure off. So, if it turns out piano playing isn’t for you, you can return the piano with nothing lost.
Or if it looks like you could be the next Lang Lang or Martha Argerich, you can upgrade your model to take your performance to the next level.
· It’s risk (and hassle) free
Hire a piano and there’s no danger of being left with a piano that’s not quite right, no longer the best fit for you, or worse – not being played!
Whether you feel ready to progress, you’re moving house and no longer have the same space or it turns out playing isn’t for you, simply end your current rental, swap your instrument or arrange for it to be collected.
And that’s it. No wasted money, no stress and definitely no hassle.
